If you’re planning to sell your Xbox Series X and want to ensure that all your personal data is wiped clean, follow these steps to perform a factory reset:

Using Your Console:
Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
Navigate to Profile & system- Settings - System -Console info.
Select Reset console.
You’ll see three options:

Reset and remove everything: This option erases all accounts, saved games, settings, home Xbox associations, and all games and apps. Use this when selling or gifting the console.

Reset and keep my games & apps: This choice resets the operating system (OS) and deletes potentially corrupted data without removing your games or apps. Start with this option for troubleshooting.
Cancel: To exit without taking any action.

After selecting an option, your Xbox console will begin the process of erasing the selected content and resetting itself to the default settings.
Using a USB Flash Drive (if you can’t access the console settings):
On your computer, format a USB flash drive with at least 4 GB of space as NTFS (most drives come formatted as FAT32).

Load the formatted drive with the necessary files.
Plug the USB flash drive into a port on your Xbox console.
