About this video: Changing the weather is something that everyone has wanted to do in Minecraft at one time or another. Luckily, this video shows you exactly how to set the weather in Minecraft in order to make it stop raining or make it sunny. You can even stop thunderstorms by changing the weather in Minecraft.
First things first though, it is worth noting that you will need to have cheats enabled or OP on a server in order to change the weather. Sadly, that is one of the downsides of the command. You can also sleep if it is nighttime, and that will stop rain, but we are specifically focusing on the command in this video.
With that out of the way, what is the command to change the weather in Minecraft? Well, it’s actually really simple. Just type /weather clear to make Minecraft sunny.
If you want to make it rain in Minecraft, the command /weather rain will work, and if you want to thunderstorm, the command /weather thunder will make a storm start.
It really is that simple. You can control how long the weather lasts in seconds by adding the number of seconds after the command. So /weather rain 60 will make it rain for 60 seconds. This can be helpful if you just want to change the weather for a temporary amount of time.
