Follow the steps below to change Xbox gamerpic on Xbox app:
1. Open the Xbox app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone.
2. Once the app is open select your current Xbox gamerpic or profile picture in the bottom right of the Xbox app.
3. Select the pencil next to your gamerpic.
4. Now either select one of the preloaded gamerpics or upload a custom image from your phone.
