How to Change your Language on Motorola Phone (Best Method)
The best method to change the system language on a Motorola phone is straightforward and uses the standard Android settings menu. The key is knowing the path, as Motorola uses a very near-stock version of Android.
Best Method: Changing the System Language
Follow these steps to change the language of your menus, settings, and pre-installed apps:
Open Settings:
Swipe down from the top of the screen twice to open the Quick Settings menu, and then tap the gear icon (⚙ ).
OR find and tap the Settings app icon in your app drawer.
Navigate to System:
Scroll down to the bottom and tap on System. (If your phone is already in a foreign language, this is typically the second option from the bottom.)
Find Language Settings:
Tap Languages & input (or just Languages on some models).
Tap Languages again (usually the first option).
Add a New Language:
Tap + Add a language (or the equivalent option).
Scroll through the list and tap on the language you want to use. You may be asked to select a specific region (e.g., "Spanish (United States)" vs. "Spanish (Mexico)").
Once selected, the new language will be added to your list, but it will not be active yet.
Set as Default:
On the list of languages, you will see a series of parallel lines (often four lines/dots) next to each language.
Press and hold the four lines next to the new language you just added.
Drag the new language to the very top of the list.
Confirm the Change:
Your phone will instantly switch the entire system to the language you dragged to the top.
