How to Remove Fingerprint unlock on Motorola Phone (Android Tutorial)
Removing a fingerprint lock on a Motorola phone is a straightforward process, as you essentially need to delete the saved fingerprint from the phone's security settings.
Here are the general steps to follow on most modern Motorola (Android) devices:
Open Settings
Swipe down from the top of the screen twice to open the full Quick Settings panel, then tap the Settings gear icon (⚙ ).
Go to Security Settings
Scroll down and tap on Security & privacy (or just Security on some older versions).
Find the Unlock Settings
Tap on Device unlock.
Select Fingerprint
Tap on Fingerprint.
Confirm Your Current Lock
To access the fingerprint settings, you will need to enter your current screen lock, such as your PIN, password, or pattern.
Delete the Fingerprint
You will see a list of your saved fingerprints (e.g., "Finger 1").
Tap the Delete icon (often a trash can 🗑 ) next to the fingerprint you want to remove.
Confirm the deletion by tapping Delete or Yes, remove when prompted.
Once you delete all saved fingerprints, the fingerprint scanner will no longer be an option for unlocking your phone, and you will default to your PIN, pattern, or password.
