How to Block Spam Callers & Unknown Numbers on Motorola Phone (Best Method)

The "Best Method" is to use these two features in combination:
Filter Spam Calls (for identified robocalls and scams).
Block Unknown (for calls with no Caller ID).
Step-by-Step Guide (The Google Phone App Method)
The settings below are found in the Phone app, and their names may vary slightly based on your specific Motorola model and Android version, but the general steps are consistent.
Part 1: Block Suspected Spam Calls
This feature uses Google's database to identify and filter known spam, scam, and robocall numbers.
Open the Phone app (the dialer icon).
Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
Tap Settings.
Tap Caller ID & spam (or Spam and Call Screen).
Make sure the toggle for See caller & spam ID is On.
Turn on the toggle for Filter spam calls (or Filter suspected spam calls).
Result: Calls identified as spam will be silently declined (sent straight to voicemail) without your phone ringing. They will still appear in your call history as "Spam."
