Slime Rancher 2 - Part 4

Now that we are all set up to make plenty of money every day just by feeding our Largo Slimes we should probably start thinking about upgrades. I'm not here to tell you which upgrades you should get but if you've set up your ranch as we've mentioned in the previous videos, you should have more than enough to get all the starting upgrades without any problem. So to get the process started you'll want to start your day off like any other, wake up in the morning. Collect your crops and go feed your slimes. Once they've enjoyed their meal pick up their plorts but instead of turning them in for cash, this time head to the refinery.

The refinery can be found just to the left of the plot market down a set of stairs that leads to your underground workshop. The refinery will be the one on the right. Place all the plorts you have in your inventory inside the refinery. In case you don't know, the refinery will use items like plorts and other resources in order to let you upgrade your gear at the fabricator. So once you put everything you have into the refinery you're done with that part.

Next, move toward the machine on the left, this is your fabricator. Like I said before, you should have enough money and plorts now to get all the starting upgrades. The one you should focus on first though is the Resource Harvester. This will be the one tool you need in order to get better upgrades moving forward as you'll need both plorts and other resources that can only be stored in your inventory if you have the Resource Harvester. Once you have the Resource Harvester though, you can get any other upgrade you want or just grind out a few days of feeding slimes so you can get all early upgrades.

Now that you have the Resource Harvester, you'll be able to collect other things out in the wild like Jelly Stone and Deep Brine which are the two main resources you'll find in Rainbow Fields. Other resources will be collectible as you travel to other places on the map.

That's pretty much all you need to know about the refinery and resource harvester for now. If you're ahead of where I am in the game, which let's be honest, plenty of you must be. Be sure to keep an eye out for other resources you can collect so you can bring them home and get more upgrades as soon as possible.
