Slime Rancher 2 - Part 1

When starting a Corral, you should first start getting a few slimes in there. For the purposes of this video, we'll assume you know the basics of how the game works. Still for new players, I'd like to go over some of the fundamentals of the game, starting with the corrals and how each part can help. If you want to start making money quickly, you'll want to get a few Largo Slimes in there. Largo Slimes are created by combining two slimes of different species. Once you have them, the basic corral fence won't do much to keep them in. So let's go over the parts you'll need.

- High Walls - You'll definitely want to get high walls to start. High walls will help keep your Largo slimes inside when they get a little jumpy. High walls will cost you 260 coins
- Air Nets - You'll then want to buy Air Nets. Air Nets further help keep your slimes where they belong. If left unfed for too long slimes can get agitated and will team up to jump out of their high walls. Air Nets help stop this. Air Nets will cost you 425 coins.
- Plort Collectors - Now that you've successfully imprisoned your slimes, you'll want to be able to get their plorts with ease. Plort Collectors allow you to collect all of their droppings at the press of a button. The Plort Collector will set you back 500 coins.
- Auto-Feeders - Next you'll want to get yourself an Auto-Feeder. These automated machines allow you to keep food reserves on tap and will automatically feed your slime at intervals you choose. You can choose from Slow, Medium, and Fast feeding intervals. Auto-Feeders will cost you another 500 coins.
- The Music Box - If you want to be a good Rancher buying your slimes a Music Box is the way to go. Sometimes you need to go on longer journeys than you thought and that means your slimes might run out of food even with the Auto-Feeder stocked up. That's when a Music Box comes in handy. Music Boxes will help calm your slimes even when they are angry. A Music Box costs 350 coins.
- Solar Shields - Lastly we have Solar Shields. These upgrades are optional. You don't need to buy them for every corral. You definitely will need them if you want to tame Nocturnal Slimes though. Some slimes can only exist in the dark of night and if you don't have a solar shield equipt, there is a good chance once the sunrise comes your nighttime slimes may die. So, you kind of need Solar Shield in specific situations. Solar Shields will set you back 425 coins.

That just about covers everything when it comes to corrals and how they work. Now go get yourself set up and if you need more quick tips be sure to check out my next post here.
