How to Connect PS5 Controller to Android Phone with a WIRE
To connect a PS5 (DualSense) controller to an Android phone using a wired connection:
Get the Right Cable:
Use a USB-C to USB-C cable (if your phone has a USB-C port, which most modern Android phones do) or a USB-C to USB-A cable with an OTG adapter if your phone uses a different port.
Ensure the cable supports data transfer, not just charging.
Connect the Controller:
Plug one end of the cable into the PS5 controller’s USB-C port (on top of the controller).
Plug the other end into your Android phone’s USB-C port (or OTG adapter if required).
Allow Permissions:
Your phone may prompt you to allow USB access or confirm the device. Tap Allow or OK.
The controller should be recognized automatically as an input device.
Test the Connection:
Open a game or app that supports controllers (e.g., Call of Duty Mobile, emulators, or Xbox Game Pass).
Check if the controller inputs (joysticks, buttons) work. The light bar on the controller may light up to indicate it’s connected.
Adjust Settings (if Needed):
Some games require enabling controller support in their settings menu.
Go to Settings - Connected devices or Accessibility to ensure gamepad input is enabled if the controller isn’t responding.
