Turon; also known as lumpiang saging,
is a Philippine snack made of thinly sliced bananas,
dusted with brown sugar, rolled in a spring roll wrapper
and fried till the wrapper is crisp.
Turon can also include other fillings.
Most commonly jackfruit, but there are also recipes with sweet potato,
mango, cheddar cheese and coconut.

Ingredients:
20 lumpia wrappers
20 saba or banana plantain
3 cups oil for deep frying
1 ½ cup brown sugar
Instructions:
-Pull apart the lumpia wrapper.
-Cut the plantains in half.
-Roll each plantain (or banana) in the brown sugar for an even coat on both sides.
-Roll the bottom of the wrapper over the fruit and tightly tuck it around the fruit.
-Using a little water, seal the end of the wrapper.
-Pour the oil into a small pan and turn the heat on high.
-When the oil is boiling, turn down to medium heat.
-Fry each side of the rolls until they are golden brown and crispy.
