Cassava Suman is a Filipino delicacy
of steaming a mixture of grated cassava,
grated coconut, and sugar in banana leaves.

Ingredients:
2 cups Grated cassava
1 ½ cups grated coconut
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp melted butter
2 cups water


Equipment:
Banana leaves
Steamer


-Prepare the leaves for wrapping by heating over low fire.
-In a bowl, combine cassava, sugar, butter and grated coconut.

-Spoon a tablespoon of mixture onto a banana leaf and shape into a log.
-Fold banana leaf over mixture to enclose and roll tightly into a log. Fold both ends.
-Arrange prepared suman in a steamer and steam for about 30 to 45 minutes or until firm.
-Remove from steamer and allow to cool slightly. Serve and Enjoy!
