0Deactivating your Facebook account is a simple process that allows you to temporarily hide your profile, posts, and activity from other users. Unlike deleting your account, deactivation lets you reactivate it later if you decide to return.
To begin, open the Facebook app on your mobile device. Tap the menu icon, which looks like three horizontal lines in the top right corner. From there, tap the gear icon to access Settings. In the Settings menu, go to Account Center and select Personal Details. Next, tap on Account Ownership and Control, then choose Deactivation or Deletion.
Select your Facebook account from the list, then choose Deactivate Account. Tap Continue and enter your password when prompted. After confirming, your account will be deactivated, and your profile will no longer be visible to others. However, you can still use Messenger unless you choose to deactivate it separately.
If you want to reactivate your account, simply log back into Facebook with your credentials, and your profile will be restored.
