How to Deactivate PS4/PS5/Pro as Primary Console Remotely (Console Sharing Offline Play)
You can remotely deactivate a PS4 or PS5 console as your primary console through the PlayStation website if you no longer have physical access to the device. Here’s how to do it:
Steps to Deactivate a Console Remotely:
Go to the PlayStation Website:
Open a web browser and go to the official PlayStation account management page.
Log Into Your PSN Account:
Enter the credentials for the PlayStation Network account linked to the console you want to deactivate.
Access Account Settings:
Once logged in, click on your profile picture in the top-right corner and select Account Settings (or Account Management).
Navigate to Device Management:
In the left-hand menu, select Device Management.
Deactivate All Devices:
You’ll see a list of devices linked to your account. Unfortunately, you cannot deactivate individual consoles remotely, so you’ll need to select Deactivate All Devices.
This will remove all devices as primary for your account.
Reassign a Primary Console:
After deactivating all devices, log into the console you currently use and set it as your primary console under Settings - Users and Accounts - Other - Console Sharing and Offline Play (PS5) or Activate as Your Primary PS4 (PS4).
