Step 1. Navigate to your PlayStation 5 home screen, and then click "Settings."

Step 2. Click "Screen and Video" in the settings menu. The associated screen opens.

Step 3. Click to select "Screen" in the list of options on the left side of the screen, and then click "Dim Screen While Inactive" in the menu on the right side of the screen. A menu opens.

Step 4. Choose how long you want to wait before your PS5 screen will dim when it's inactive. Your change will be applied immediately.
