About this video: If you want to know how to download and install Minecraft Maps in 1.13.1, this is the video for you. I go over everything that you need to know in order to get Minecraft 1.13.1 up and running with any custom map that you want. I also show you how to update Minecraft Maps in 1.13.1 without causing any issues and crashing your game. Thus, no matter what custom map you want to play, you will be able to play it in 1.13.1!
So, first and foremost we need to download and custom Minecraft map before we can install it. Lucky for you, we have an entire article with 15 AWESOME custom maps for Minecraft 1.13.1 that you can check out, install, and just overall enjoy! You can find that link above. Once you've downloaded your custom map from there, getting it installed is super easy.
Just open up #Minecraft 1.13.1, go into single player and select any world that you want, but don't click play. Instead, click edit located at the bottom of the screen. This will open up an edit window. Here you will see an 'Open World Folder' button. Click that. This will open up that worlds folder. What you want though is to click the 'saves' folder in the top bar. This is where you will be put your custom maps.
Before you start dragging and dropping though, we need to unzip the map and make sure that all of the files associated with the map are instantly visible when we open the map folder. For example, as soon as you click the folder to open it, you should see folders called 'data' 'DIM1' and 'DIM-1'. Once you've got that, just drag and drop it into your saves folder. Reopen your single player Minecraft tab, and you will be able to find the map.
What if you are looking to update a map though. Well, once you've got the map you want to update installed, just double-click on it. It will ask if you are sure you want to open this map. Click' yes and create a backup'. Once you've done that, the map will open. There may be some stuff broken when you update a Minecraft map to 1.13.1, but overall, most maps are 1.13.1 compatible.
With that being said, I hope this #tutorial did help you get a Minecraft Map in 1.13.1. If it did, please give the video a thumbs up and be sure to subscribe to the channel if you haven't already. It really helps me out, and it means a ton. Thank you in advance!
