About this video: This video is a step-by-step guide on downloading and installing Minecraft 1.13.1. It shows you everything that you need to know to get Minecraft 1.13.1 up and running without any issues. All the way to upgrading your old Minecraft worlds to 1.13.1 without corrupting them or losing any data.
Doing this is pretty simple. First off you need to make sure you have the #Minecraft launcher downloaded from the link above. After that, login to your #Mojang account. Now, just start a new profile by clicking on the 'Launch Options' tab. In this new profile, just set your version as 'release 1.13.1'. It really is that simple.
Now, just click the news tab at the top of the launcher, and then select the profile you created using the little green arrow next to the play button. Once you've done that, just click play. It's that simple. Minecraft will now download everything it needs to play Minecraft 1.13.1.
After your in the game, it is now safe to update old single player worlds to 1.13.1. All you need to do is click on single player, double-click on the world you want to play, and then, click 'backup and update'. Minecraft will not magically update your world to 1.13.1! Congratulations.
