The first thing you need to do is download the Rift mod loader. This is a brand new #MinecraftMod loader that similar to Forge, but it is already released for 1.13! You can find the Rift download link above. Once you've gotten Rift downloaded, installing it is pretty easy. Just double click on it, and as long as you've got the Java JDK installed, you'll be good to go!
Now, we need to download Almost Enough Items. You can find the Almost Enough Items download link above, and all you need to do to install it is open up the Run program on your computer and type '%appdata%'. This will open up the roaming folder. You should see a folder called '.minecraft'. Open that, and you should have a folder called 'mods'. If you don't have a mods folder, create one!
Then, drag and drop the Almost Enough Items mod for 1.13 that you download into this folder. Then, open up the Minecraft launcher and select the Rift profile. Click play, and your game will open up with Almost Enough Items installed. Congrats!
