This really is a comprehensive guide on downloading, installing, and setting up 1.18.2 mods for Minecraft.
First things first though, we do assume that you have the Forge Mod Loader for 1.18.2 already installed. You can find a link to the to how to download and install 1.18.2 Forge in the description above. It goes over everything you need to know in order to get Forge 1.18.2, and even how to fix some issues you may have when getting 1.18.2 Forge.
Nevertheless, with Forge installed, we can move on to downloading your Minecraft 1.18.2 mods. For this video, we are installing Iron Chests, Just Enough items, and Xaero’s Minimap. You can find the download links for all of these in the description above, and once you are there, just click the yellow ‘Download’ button for each mod. That will take you to CurseForge where you want to look at the right-hand sidebar, scroll down, and click the orange download button to the left of the 1.18.2 version of the mod. After a few seconds, the download will begin. You may need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.
With the mods you want downloaded, we can move on to how to install Minecraft Mods in 1.18.2 on PC. The first thing you want to do is open up Minecraft 1.18.2 with Forge. You should know how to do this if you have Forge installed. Just select it in your Minecraft Launcher and click Play.
After Forge is open in Minecraft 1.18.2, click the ‘mods’ button on your Minecraft main menu. Then, click ‘Open Mods Folder’ in the bottom right of Minecraft. This will open your mods folder. Drag-and-drop all of the Minecraft 1.18.2 mods you want to install into this mods folder. It’s that easy to install Minecraft Mods for PC 1.18.2.
You aren’t completely finished just yet though as you need to restart Minecraft 1.18.2 making sure you are launching Minecraft with Forge. When you do, your Minecraft 1.18.2 mods will be installed!
