About this video: Tinkers Construct is the best mod for adding in custom tools to Minecraft. It adds in hammers that break 3 by 3 sections of stone, excavators that break 3x3 sections of dirt, and custom swords that are much more powerful that what you can find in vanilla Minecraft. All of these tools are made using the Tinkers Construct smeltery. A multi-block structure that melts ores and lets you cast them into different sections of tools. You then combine these to create the awesome custom Minecraft 1.18.2 tools we are talking about here. So, without anymore delay, here is how to download and install Tinkers Construct in Minecraft 1.18.2!
First things first, we need to download and install Forge 1.18.2. Forge is the mod loader that allows mods like Tinkers Construct to work with Minecraft. You can find our complete tutorial on how to download and install Forge in the description above. We also go over some of the issues you may have when getting for 1.18.2 Tinkers Construct.
After you have Forge, we can move on to how to download Tinkers Construct 1.18.2. You can find the Tinkers Construct download link in the description above. That will take you to our website where you can click the yellow ‘Download Tinkers Construct’ button to be taken to the 1.18.2 Tinkers Construct download page. On this page, look at the right-hand side and scroll down to the 1.18 section. Download Tinkers Construct under this section. You may need to keep or save the file depending on your browser.
You will need to repeat the above process for the Mantle mod linked in the description above. This is a requirement mod that must be installed with Tinkers Construct.
Once Tinkers Construct and Mantle are downloaded, we can move on to how to install Tinkers Construct in Minecraft 1.18.2. To do this, press the Windows Key on your keyboard and ‘R’ at the exact same time. This will open the Run app. In this app, type ‘%appdata%’, and hit enter. Your Roaming folder will open. There will be .minecraft folder. Open that, and you should have a ‘mods’ folder. If you don’t, just create one!
Finally, to install Tinkers Construct 1.18.2, just drag-and-drop Tinkers Construct and Mantle into this folder. That is all you need to do install 1.18.2 Tinkers Construct.
You aren’t finished just yet though. You still need to open up the Minecraft Launcher, select the ‘forge’ profile by clicking the arrow next to the Play button and selecting Forge. Then, click the green play button and confirm you are playing modded Minecraft by clicking the green play button again. Minecraft 1.18.2 will now open up with Tinkers Construct installed!
