About this video: In this video, I show you exactly how to download and install Xray in Minecraft 1.14.4 without installing any mods. This is done with the Xray Ultimate Texture Pack, and since this is a texture pack, you don't need to install Forge or any mod loader for that matter. By installing Xray for 1.14.4 this way, you can get Xray in Vanilla Minecraft with no mods whatsoever. Thus, let's go ahead and go over exactly how you can download and install an Xray Resource Pack in Minecraft 1.14.4!
First and foremost, we will need to download Xray for Minecraft 1.14.4. There are many different options for Xray, but in this video, we will be installing the Xray Ultimate resource pack. Xray Ultimate was just updated to Minecraft 1.14.4, and you can find the official download link in the description above. Once you are there, you will be able to scroll down the page a little and look in the right-hand sidebar to see the 'Minecraft 1.14' version of Xray Ultimate. You will then see a version of Xray for 1.14.4 under this. Click the purple download button next to this. You will then be taken off to a page where your Xray 1.14.4 download will begin in 5 seconds!
Once your download has finished, it is time to install Xray in Minecraft 1.14.4. Luckily, this process is very, very easy. All you need to do is open up Minecraft 1.14.4 and from the main menu click on the 'Options' button. Then, you will see a 'Resource Packs' button. Click on that, and you will be taken to a page with two columns. Right now though, you just need to click the 'open resource pack folder' in the bottom right of Minecraft. This will open your resource packs folder. All you need to in order to install #XrayUltimate in Minecraft 1.14.4 is drag-and-drop it into this folder.
You aren't done just yet though because after you install Xray 1.14.4, you will need to select it. If you go back to Minecraft, it won't be there, you need to click the 'Done' button in the bottom left and click on 'Resource Packs' again. Now, you will see Xray Ultimate in the 'Available Resource Packs' section. To select it, hover over it, and click the arrow that appears on the image of Xray Ultimate. This will move it to the 'Selected Resource Packs' section. Now, all you need to do is click the 'Done' button in the bottom right.
Minecraft will now reload with #Xray installed! Jump into single player and check it out. You will notice ores are dark. In order to make ores appear brighter, you need to download and install Optifine for 1.14.4. We have an in-depth tutorial on doing this linked in the description above.
