This video will show you how to ensure that your mic is always broadcasting your voice at the maximum possible volume level that is permitted under the Windows operating system. This method should function under all modern versions of Microsoft Windows, from Windows Vista to Windows 7 to Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.

Under CONTROL PANEL, ensure that VIEW BY (in the upper right corner) is set to SMALL ICONS. From there, click on SOUND. Under SOUND, click on the RECORDING tab. Ensure that your desired microphone is properly selected and active (green check mark icon). Click on the desired microphone to highlight it, and underneath, click PROPERTIES. Under MICROPHONE PROPERTIES, click on the LEVELS tab. Slide both MICROPHONE and MICROPHONE BOOST sliders all the way to the right (highest settings). Accept these settings by clicking APPLY followed by OK.
