How to Extend your DISPLAY on Steam Deck External Monitor (Easy Method)
To extend your display on a Steam Deck to an external monitor, follow these steps:
Connect the Hardware:
Use a USB-C to HDMI adapter or a docking station. Connect one end to the Steam Deck and the other end to your monitor or TV.
Switch to Desktop Mode:
Press the Steam button on your Steam Deck.
Navigate to Power and select Switch to Desktop.
Configure Display Settings:
Once in Desktop mode, right-click on the desktop and select Display Settings.
Here, you can adjust the resolution and choose to extend the display rather than mirror it.
Adjust Display Arrangement:
Drag and drop the display icons to arrange them as you prefer. This will help you set up the extended display correctly.
Apply Settings:
Click Apply to save your changes. Your Steam Deck should now extend its display to the external monitor
