How to Capture Video Recordings that are 1 Hour with USB on XBox Series X (Settings Tutorial)
To record up to one hour of gameplay on your Xbox Series X using a USB drive, follow these steps:
Connect an External Drive:
Plug in a USB 3.0 or higher SSD or thumb drive that is formatted to NTFS.
Make sure the drive has a capacity larger than 128GB.
Configure the Drive:
Go to Settings on your Xbox Series X.
Navigate to System - Storage.
Set the connected drive as the capture location.
Choose Capture Settings:
Head to Preferences - Capture & Share.
Select the clip duration (up to 1 hour) and resolution (1080p or 4K).
Ensure you’ve chosen the external drive as the destination.
Start Recording:
Launch the game you want to record.
Press the menu button on your controller to start and stop recording.
