To perform a factory reset on a Roku TV (e.g., TCL, Hisense, or other Roku OS devices), which restores the device to its original settings and removes all apps, accounts, and preferences, follow these steps. These instructions apply to Roku TVs as of May 14, 2025, at 11:49 AM CDT, and can be done using the Roku remote or the Roku mobile app as a remote.

Factory Reset Using the Remote
Go to the Home Screen:

Turn on your Roku TV and navigate to the Home screen using your Roku remote or the Roku - Official Remote Control app on your iPhone/Android (ensure the app is connected to the same Wi-Fi as your Roku TV).
Access Settings:

Using the remote, scroll to and select Settings from the left-hand menu (use the directional arrows and press OK).
Navigate to Factory Reset:

Select System - Advanced System Settings - Factory Reset.
Choose Factory Reset Everything to erase all data, apps, and settings.
Confirm the Reset:

You may be prompted to enter a four-digit code displayed on the screen to confirm the reset. Use the remote to input the code and press OK.
The Roku TV will begin the reset process, which may take a few minutes. The device will restart and display the initial setup screen afterward.
