In this video I am going to be showing you how to fix Failed to connect to the server, Failed to verify username! error message when you or your friends attempt to connect to your Minecraft: Java Edition Server.

Steps To Fix Failed to connect to the server Failed to verify username! On Your Minecraft: Java Edition Server:

1. If you Minecraft Java Edition Server is running you will need to stop it by typing to "stop" in the cmd/terminal window.
2. Locate and open the folder or directly which contains your Minecraft: Java Edition Server files.
3. Open the server.properties file by doubling clicking on it and selecting any text editor. In this video I used Notepad as my text editor.
4. Edit the line "online-mode=true" to "online-mode=false" without any quotations.
5. Save the changes made to server.properties by clicking on file then save.
6. Start your server and connect to it.

Congratulations guys, you or your friends will now no longer receive the Failed to connect to the server Failed to verify username! error message and will be successfully connected to your server.
