How to Fix Sound Delay on LG TV & Sync Audio (Easy Tutorial)
If you're experiencing sound delay or audio sync issues on your LG TV, follow these steps to fix it:
1. Adjust Audio Sync Settings on LG TV
Open the Settings Menu:
Press the Settings button on your remote (gear icon) or the Home button and then navigate to Settings.
Go to Sound Settings:
In the Settings menu, select Sound.
Enable Audio Sync:
Scroll down to Audio Sync or AV Sync (depending on your model).
If it's turned off, turn it on.
Adjust the Audio Sync:
Once enabled, you'll see a slider or options to adjust the audio delay.
Increase or decrease the value to synchronize the sound with the picture. Test different settings to find the optimal sync.
2. Adjust Sound Output Format
Change Sound Output Mode:
Go to Sound - Sound Out in the settings.
If you're using external audio devices like a soundbar or AV receiver, try switching between PCM (stereo), Dolby Digital, or Auto settings to see if it resolves the sync issue.
3. Check Audio Device (e.g., Soundbar or Receiver)
If you're using external speakers, check the settings on your soundbar or receiver for any audio sync or lip-sync correction features. Some devices have their own audio delay settings that can be adjusted.
4. Update Firmware
Check for Updates:
Go to Settings - All Settings - General - About This TV and check if there are any software updates available for your TV.
If updates are available, download and install them. Sometimes software updates fix audio sync issues.
5. Turn Off "Instant Sound" (if applicable)
Instant Sound may be available on some LG TVs. This feature can sometimes cause audio delay issues.
Go to Settings - Sound - Sound Effects and turn off Instant Sound or any similar feature.
6. Disable Audio Processing Features
Some LG TVs come with sound processing features that can cause delays. Turn off features like Dolby Atmos, Clear Voice, or any other sound enhancements that might be causing the delay.
Go to Settings - Sound - Advanced Settings, and turn off any sound processing options.
7. Check HDMI Connections
Ensure that your HDMI cables are securely connected. Poor connections can sometimes cause sync issues.
If you're using a soundbar or external device, try connecting it directly to the TV to see if the issue persists.
8. Factory Reset (if necessary)
If all else fails, consider performing a factory reset on your TV. This can clear any settings that might be causing the issue.
Go to Settings - All Settings - General - Reset to Initial Settings.
