To enable or disable location services on your Android phone, follow these steps:

Swipe down from the top of your screen to reveal the notification shade.
Touch and hold the Location icon (it looks like a small map pin).
If you don’t see the Location icon, tap Edit or Settings to customize your Quick Settings.

Drag the Location icon into your Quick Settings to enable it.
When Location is turned on, apps that have been granted location permission can access your phone’s location to provide you with location-based information, services, or ads. Remember that you can still receive local results and ads based on your IP address, even if location services are off.
