How to fix the Google Maps iOS app not updating your physical geographical location position
This video will show you how to fix your position in the Google Maps app on iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) refusing to update to reflect your current physical geographical position (essentially the indicator remains stuck {it refuses to move and only pivots} and only shows its last-known location, and this, despite your location appearing correctly in Apple Maps). From the home screen of your iOS device, tap on SETTINGS followed by GENERAL followed by RESET (found at the bottom of the screen) followed by RESET LOCATION & PRIVACY. In accepting to reset location & privacy, your physical geographical position in Google Maps should once again become dynamic and should reflect your position through the use of A-GPS. Note that, unfortunately, in doing so, going forward all apps that wish to use location services will once again ask for said permission once they are launched in the future, and this, regardless if you have granted or denied them this permission in the past. I use this fix on my Apple iPhone 4 A1332 model MC605FD/A running iOS version 7.1.2 (11D257) and Google Maps version 4.22.90471 .
