About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to get a mace in Minecraft. We cover absolutely everything from how to find a trial chamber to get the things needed for a mace to even how to acquire every piece needed for a mace once you are in the trial chamber, this video covers it all. So, without anymore delay, here is how to make a mace in Minecraft!
First things first, it’s worth noting that there are two primary things you will need for a mace - a breeze rod and heavy core. Both of these items are obtained from trial chambers.
To find a trial chamber, you can trade with a journeyman level cartographer villager. That will in turn give you a trial map. This can be used to locate a nearby trial chamber and travel to it. Once you are inside, we can start acquiring items.
It is worth noting that you will need the Bad Omen effect in order to get a heavy core from a trial chamber as they can only be obtained from ominous trial chamber vaults. This can be gotten as a potion from completing normal trial cambers first and getting the potion or by killing a illager captain. Entering into a trial chamber with the bad omen effect will make it an ominous trial chamber.
Once you find a trial chamber, you can kill a breeze, and when you do a breeze rod will be dropped. Generally, you won’t need to really try to get a breeze rod as you will get one from fighting breeze within a trial chamber just generally while trying to get the heavy core.
Speaking of the heavy core, it is the more difficult item to get when it comes to making a mace. You can only get a heavy core from completing ominous trial chambers and winning it as a rewards from an ominous trial vault.
You will need to grind Ominous Trial chambers to get a heavy core. There is a 7.5% chance of getting a heavy core when opening an Ominous Vault, so on average, you will need to loot around 13 to 14 ominious vaults to get a heavy core.
After you get the heavy core, it’s actually very easy to make a mace. Just combine the heavy core and the breeze rod in a crafting table, and you are good to go! You now have a mace in Minecraft!
You can use the mace by jumping off structures and hitting mobs. This is great for doing bulk damage to a crowd of mobs.
