How to Get Back to 1 Joy Con Controller & Connect to Nintendo Switch (2 Player Coop)
2To pair a single Joy-Con controller with your Nintendo Switch, follow these steps:
Ensure that your Nintendo Switch is powered on. You cannot pair the Joy-Con while the system is in sleep mode.
Navigate to the Home screen on your Nintendo Switch.
Select “Controllers” from the menu.
Choose the option based on your Nintendo Switch model:
Nintendo Switch – OLED Model
Nintendo Switch
Nintendo Switch Lite
Hold the SYNC button on the Joy-Con controller you want to pair. The SYNC button is located on the side of the Joy-Con controllers.
When the message “Paired” appears on the screen, the pairing is complete.
Remember that you can pair up to eight wireless controllers to your Nintendo Switch system, but the maximum number of controllers that can be connected will vary depending on the type of controllers and features used
