Certainly! Updating games on your Nintendo Switch can help you get the latest features, bug fixes, and improvements. Here are a few ways to manually update your games:
Auto-Update (Recommended):
By default, the Nintendo Switch automatically checks for software updates when you’re connected to the internet. If an update is available, it will download and install it.
To ensure Auto-Update is active, follow these steps:
Go to System Settings by selecting the gear icon on the Nintendo Switch Home screen.
Navigate to System in the left-side menu.
Scroll down and locate the “Auto-Update Software” option. Toggle it to “On.”
Keeping Auto-Update on is generally a good idea for most users.
Manual Check for Updates:
There are two ways to manually check for game updates:
Launch the Game:
Simply attempt to launch the game while connected to the internet.
If an update is available, a message will pop up. Select “Download” to install the update.
From the Menu:
On the Home screen, position the cursor over the game you want to update.
Press the + (Plus) button to open the Software Options screen.
Navigate to the “Software Update” section and select “Via The Internet.”
The system will check for updates and download them if available.
Remember to stay connected to the internet to receive timely updates for your Nintendo Switch games!
