About this video: As far as shader mods go, Iris Shards is a great Optifine shaders alternative for 1.19.3. It has overall better performance when paired with the Sodium mod, and most 1.19.3 shader packs will work with Iris.
The first thing we need to do in order to get shaders in 1.19.3 is download a shaders pack. You can find a link in the comments to our list of the best shaders packs for Minecraft 1.19.3. Most are compatible with Iris, but if one is having issues, just install another. There are tons of different shader pack options.
Next, we need to download Iris Shaders for 1.19.3. The link in the comments will take you to our website. This is the complete text tutorial for getting Iris Shaders in 1.19.3. On there, you will click the download Iris Shaders button to to the official Iris Shaders download page.
On the official Iris Shaders download page, click on the ‘Download Universal Jar’ button. When you do this, the Iris Shaders installer will start downloading. You may need to keep or save this file depending on your browser.
With the 1.19.3 Iris Shaders Installer downloaded, double click the file you downloaded, and the Iris Installer will open. If it doesn't, you will need to download and install Java and run the Jarfix. This can be found in the comments.
In this installer, select Iris + Sodium for the 1.19.3 version and click Install. Iris Shaders will then install in Minecraft 1.19.3.
Open it in the Minecraft Launcher, select Sodium by clicking on the arrow next to the Play button. Then, click Play and click Play on the window that appears. Iris 1.19.3 will open.
Once you are on the Minecraft main menu, click on options, video settings, shaders packs. This is where your shaders packs will be located once they are installed.
To install your shaders packs, click the open shader pack folder button, and move the 1.19.3 shader pack you downloaded into this folder.
When you come back into Minecraft, you may have to hit the refresh button, but when you do, your shaders packs will appear. Click on the shader pack you want to install, click Apply, and click the Done button. Your shaders pack will be activated!
