Hey guys! Thanks for watching this video. One of the biggest things I hate about this "getting online advice" shit regarding living in Japan is there are never any thorough ass fucking informational videos on how to actually get this shit done. My ultimate goal with my videos are to help people who want to move to Japan, well, fucking move to Japan. Move here and be able to stay here, long term; like myself. Hopefully with this video you will leave you all feeling a lot more relief knowing that if a big asshole like me can even get permanent residency here in Japan, you can too.

The Japanese green card or how they call it, "Permanent Residency" is not as hard to get, as per se, when compared to other countries like USA, Canada, China, Korea, etc.

In this video I wanted to show you guys the way to get permanent residency in Japan and bust some motherfuckin myths when it comes to getting that sweet, sweet long term visa. If you have any other questions or thought I missed something please feel free to mention it in the comments section.

1. Application form.
2. Letter stating the reason you want to apply, in Japanese.
3. Your certificate of 'registered matters'.
4. Your certificate of employment (and employment contract if available, but the certificate is more important. Many Japanese companies don't do employment contracts it seems!)
5. Certificates showing ward tax and income tax payments for the last 3 years. Also your kakutei shinkoku tax returns, if you do those.
6. Copy of your bank statement - not required, but helpful.
7. Letter of guarantee, signed by guarantor.
8. Your guarantor's certificate of employment or if retired proof of retirement
9. Your guarantor's residence certificate or their certificate of 'registered matters'.
10. Proof of your guarantor's income for the last year.
11. Letter of recommendation - not required, but helpful.
12. Copy of your passport and gaijin card
