How to GET TCL TV into GAME MODE or ALLM Mode (Best Method)
On TCL TVs with Google TV, there are two primary ways to activate game mode, which is crucial for reducing input lag and getting the most responsive gaming experience. The best method often depends on your specific TV model, but both are straightforward.
Method 1: Using the "Game Master" Menu
Many modern TCL Google TVs have a dedicated "Game Master" feature that automatically manages gaming settings. This is the best method if you want to use the full features of your TV, including ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode).
Connect your gaming console (like a PS5, Xbox Series X, or gaming PC) to an HDMI 2.1 port on your TCL TV.
Press the Settings button (the gear icon) on your remote.
Go to Channels & Inputs or System.
Look for an option called "Game Master."
Within the Game Master menu, you can enable the feature. When enabled, your TV should automatically switch to Game Mode or ALLM when it detects a gaming signal from your connected device.
With ALLM, the TV will automatically turn off most post-processing effects to minimize input lag, and then re-enable them when you switch back to a movie or TV show.
Method 2: Manually Activating Game Mode
If your TV doesn't have the Game Master feature, you can still manually turn on Game Mode through the picture settings.
Switch to the HDMI input where your gaming console is connected.
Press the Settings button (the gear icon) on your remote.
Navigate to Picture settings.
Look for a setting called "Picture Mode."
Select "Picture Mode" and choose the "Game" option from the list.
