How to STOP Screen from TURNING OFF on Any Android Phone (Best Method)
There are a couple of methods to keep your Android phone screen from turning off, depending on what you're trying to achieve.
Method 1: Adjusting the Screen Timeout (Most Common Method)
This is the standard way to control how long your screen stays on after you've stopped interacting with it. Most Android phones offer a variety of time settings, from a few seconds to 30 minutes.
Open your phone's Settings app.
Tap on Display (or "Display and brightness," depending on your phone's manufacturer).
Look for Screen timeout, Sleep, or Auto screen off and tap on it.
A list of time intervals will appear. Select the longest available option, which is often 30 minutes. Some devices, especially older ones, may not have an option to keep the screen on indefinitely.
Method 2: The "Stay Awake" Setting (For When Your Phone is Charging)
If you only want to prevent the screen from turning off while your phone is plugged in and charging, this is the perfect solution. It's a hidden feature in the Developer options menu.
Enable Developer Options:
Go to Settings - About phone.
Find the Build number and tap it seven times in a row. You'll get a message saying you're now a developer.
Turn on "Stay Awake":
Go back to the main Settings menu.
A new option called Developer options will appear. Tap on it.
Scroll down and find the "Stay awake" toggle.
Turn the toggle on. The screen will now stay on as long as the phone is charging.
