9The Crocodile Scales allow Sphinx to swim faster underwater. Swimming underwater with the scales is the fastest way to swim in the game, but it's only slightly faster than the faster speed that Sphinx can swim on the surface.
To get the Crocodile Scales go to South Beach (where the Sun Shrine is) and talk to the athlete on the beach. He'll ask you if you think you can complete his training course; take him up on his offer. The goal is to swim through all of the circles before they disappear.
There is no ultimate time you have to beat, but the circles will disappear if you take too long reaching them and failing to reach a circle will cause you to lose.
