How to Get the Razor & Gilded Sword Upgrades - The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Walkthrough
101Before you can get either sword upgrade you need to be able to carry 100 Rupees. You'll also need to be able to use the Powder Kegs.
In the Mountain Village is the Mountain Smithy. Here if you pay 100 Rupees and wait until the next day you can get the Razor Sword. This is a sword that does double the damage of the Kokiri Sword and has a longer reach, but it will break after 100 uses.
If you have Gold Dust then you can give it to the smithy along with the Razor Sword to once again upgrade it (for free). This time you'll get the Gilded Sword which is three times as powerful as the Kokiri Sword and will never break. Furthermore, it is even longer than the Razor Sword.
