How To Install AMDGPU-PRO On Ubuntu 16.04 (Guide)
A quick tutorial video for installing the AMD proprietary driver on Ubuntu 16.04.
Recommended that you watch the video in at least 720p for clarity of text. I have included English subtitles to assist you, just enable it in CC.
This video is meant for beginners who have just done a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 on their computers or are currently running the open source drivers and want to use the proprietary driver for their AMD card.
Step-by-step:
1. Make sure you have an Internet Connection.
2. Download the AMDGPU-PRO driver from their website.
3. Right click and Extract the driver file.
4. Open a new terminal, type in 'cd' without the quotes and then pull the driver folder into the terminal and hit Enter.
5. Type in the same terminal the following and hit Enter:
sudo ./amdgpu-pro-install
6. Restart Ubuntu once it's done.
7. You're done!
To check that it installed successfully, open a Terminal. Enter the following:
dpkg -l amdgpu-pro
It should now list out the amdgpu-pro driver and it's version number

Please note, if you're using a hybrid/crossfire/laptop things may be different. I will not be able to assist you here as AMD's own drivers struggle to work properly in these scenarios.
