Warden Melody of the Undergrowth running natively on Ubuntu 16.04 64bit!

This new title to Linux is brought to us by Cardboard Keep, and includes the Deluxe edition for Linux gamers too!

The thumbnail of the video is from 13:47 if you're curious.

I run this third-person RPG with maxed out settings at 1080p in this video, and with the frame counter on the top left you can get an idea of what type of performance I'm getting with this title. I did turn off Light Shafts though as it seems to be buggy.

Warden is a game best played with controllers, and I play it in this video with my PS4 Dual Shock controller wirelessly via bluetooth. Nothing special done, just paired it with Ubuntu and ran the game. It also works with a 360 controller and keyboard/mouse.

This is a really cool Linux port, considering how small the team behind Cardboard Keep is. This means they dedicated time to develop specifically for our Linux platform!

I actually quite enjoy playing this title, as I recorded a lot longer than I usually do. A big thanks to Josh for providing me with this copy.

The FPS counter on the top left is the Steam Overlay fps counter for those wondering.

Overall, the verdict is the game runs superbly well. The only bug seems to be with the Light Shafts, but that can be disabled at least.

This video is recorded at 1080p 60fps. A Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4k was used to record the footage on a separate machine, so no performance loss happens due to recording.

If you love RPG games, have a craving for a Zelda-esque adventure, then Warden Melody of the Undergrowth is a must get for your Linux gaming library!
