A look at some AMD gaming on Ubuntu Linux with an R7 260X!

Timeline links:

2. F1 2015 1:00
3. Dying Light 2:00
4. Tomb Raider 3:00
5. CSGO 4:00
6. Metro Last Light Redux 5:00
7. Deus Ex Mankind Divided 6:00

9. XCOM 2 8:00
10. Dota 2 9:00

The idea of this video is for those who may want to compare their cards to the AMD R7 260X on Linux.

This video also serves as something you can share with friends and family who may not know that they can play high-end games on Linux even with low-end graphics cards!

I used the Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4k capture card to record, so this is the real-life experience I get when I play these rather demanding games on Ubuntu.

This video is recorded at 1080p 60fps.

I used the following AMD drivers throughout this video:
AMDGPU-PRO 16.40-348864

cpufreq is set to Performance. TearFree is on.

I utilized the Steam FPS counter to show the frames per second, this way anyone can test this against their own results with ease.

Due to the R7 260X having only 1GB of VRAM, most titles can only be run smoothly at 1280x720p resolution.
