You can follow the steps below to install and configure the Cisco simulator program on Linux.
Step 1: You need to log in to Netacad before you can download Packet Tracer for Linux. Therefore, visit the Netacad website by clicking the link below.

Step 2: Click Resources / Download #PacketTracer on the Netacad website.
Step 3: Click on 64-Bit Download under the Ubuntu Desktop Version 8.2 English title and start the download process.
Step 4: Go to the location where you downloaded the PacketTracer.deb package to your computer and click Right Key / Open in Terminal there.
Step 5: Update your #LinuxMint software repository before starting the installation.
Step 6: After updating the package list, run the dpkg command to install the deb package.
Step 7: Accept the license agreement and EULA terms of Packet Tracer software.
Step 8: During the installation, you can see that the required packages for Packet Tracer are not installed. Download and install the installation of these packages from online servers.
