How to Lock Apps on iPhone like Facebook & Instagram with Shortcuts (100% Works)
1Open Shortcuts App:
Launch the Shortcuts app (pre-installed on iOS).
Ensure your iPhone is updated to at least iOS 16.4 (Settings - General - Software Update).
Create a New Automation:
Tap the Automation tab at the bottom.
Click + (top-right) and select Create Personal Automation.
Select App Trigger:
Scroll and tap App.
Tap Choose and select apps (e.g., Facebook, Instagram).
Ensure Is Opened is checked, then tap Done.
Add Lock Screen Action:
Tap Add Action, search for Lock Screen, and select it.
This action locks your iPhone when the selected apps are opened.
Disable Ask Before Running:
Toggle off Ask Before Running.
Tap Don’t Ask to confirm, then tap Done.
Test the Automation:
Open Facebook or Instagram. Your iPhone should lock immediately.
Unlock with Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode to access the app.
