About this video: This is our step-by-step guide on how to create a Spigot server in Minecraft 1.13.1. Spigot servers are basically a better-optimized version of Bukkit servers. Because of this, all Bukkit plugins work on Spigot plugins. This makes setting up and growing a Spigot server super easy to do as there are tons of different plugin options available to you. Thus, let's go ahead and make our very own Spigot server in #Minecraft 1.13.1.
The first thing you want to do when starting a Spigot server is download the Spigot file from the link in the description above. After that, it is time to set up the run.bat file using the codes above. Be sure to select the amount of RAM you want to use for your server. From most people starting with 2GB is a safe bet. You can always add more RAM later. Add this code to a Notepad file, and save it as 'run.bat' and be sure to select 'all files' as the save type. This will create a Windows Batch File that will can then double click on to run the server.
A few files will get generated. Go ahead and open up the one titled EULA, and change 'true' to 'false'. From here, you can run your server, and it will finish setting up. Now, all we need to do is port forward to allow your friends to join your #SpigotServer. This is super easy. Just open up the Command Prompt, type IPConfig, and hit enter. Then, take your default gateway and type it in a new tab on your browser.
You will then be taken to your router where you want to port forward port 25565. Anywhere that asks for a port, just put 25565. Once you've done that, go ahead and go to the link above to get your public IP address. This is what we will use to join your server with. Type that IP into Minecraft, give it to your friends, and start enjoying your Spigot server!
With that being said, if this video did help you start a Spigot server in Minecraft 1.13.1, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already. It really helps me out, and it means a ton to me. Thank you very, very much in advance!
