About this video: This video is my step-by-step guide on how to make a SkyFactory 3 server. This will allow you to play SkyFactory 3 with your friends letting you have all of the fun that SkyFactory can provide on a server that your friends and family can join. This is done through starting a #Forge server with the files that are provided by FTB for Sky Factory.
The first thing you need to do when starting a #SkyFactory3 server is download the server files for SkyFactory. This will be the basis for all of our server, and it will let us easily set this server up just like it is any other Minecraft server. Once you've got everything downloaded, unzip the file, and open up the folder that is created. Then, open and agree to the #Minecraft EULA, and run the 'StartServer.bat' file. This will start your server right on up.
On first startup, it will take a LONG time to get the SkyFactory 3 server up and running, but it will eventually save everything is loaded. You can now download the Twitch app, head to the mods tab, click Minecraft, search up SkyFactory 3, click install, and install the local version of SkyFactory. Once this is done, you can launch up SkyFactory 3 and join your server, but at this point, your friends can't join your server.
If you want your friends to be able to join, you will need to port forward. Luckily, I have helped thousands upon thousands of people port forward their routers for Minecraft, and I walk you through every step of the port forward. We even have a video that shows you how to port forward on the most popular routers currently on the market.
After you've port forwarded, it is super easy to have your friends join your server. Just give them your public IP. After that, you are done!
