About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to make an All The Mods 8 Server. Why would you want to create an All The Mods 8 server? Well, it is the latest interaction of the All The Mods series of modpacks, and this version is updated to Minecraft 1.19.
All The Mods 8 has all of the popular mods that out there, but also adds in some smaller, lesser known mods as well allowing you to get a taste of more than just the top 100 mods out there. This is great if you want to explore new mods with each release.
So, without anymore delay, here is how to make an ATM8 server.
First things first, you need to download and install All The Mods 8 with CurseForge. Anyone who you want to play on your server will need to do this as well. You can find our CurseForge guide in the description above.
After you have that, you can download the All The Mods 8 server files. These are linked in the description above. Once you are there, look at the right-hand side and download the ‘Server Files’ that are there by clicking the download button next to them. The file will download after a few seconds. You may need to keep or save them depending on your browser.
Withe ATM8 server files downloaded, right-click on them and click extract all, confirm to extract the files. Now, open the folder that was extracted, and drag the folder in it to your desktop. This is going to be your All The Mods 8 server directory.
In this, you will have a forge.jar file with some numbers in the file name as well. Right-click on this and open it with Java. Select ‘server’ in the Forge installer. Click the three dots and navigate to the ATM8 server directory. Select that and click Okay. You may get a warning. This is fine. Continue anyway.
The Forge server files will download. Open your server’s directory and double click the run.bat file. The server will then try to start a fail. You will now have an EULA.txt file though. Open this and change EULA=false to EULA=true if you agree to the Minecraft EULA. Save the EULA.txt file.
Now, when you double-click the run.bat file your server will start. This can take a very long time, so be patient.
You can join this server with ‘localhost’ as your IP address. If you want your friends to join with this server, you will need to port forward. You can find our complete guide on that in the description above.
