How to Mute Microphone & All Audio using PS5 Controller button (Fast Tutorial)
2The PS5 controller doesn't have a dedicated button to mute the microphone or turn off all audio directly from the controller. However, you can use the following methods to achieve similar results:
Muting the Microphone:
Mute Button: The PS5 DualSense controller has a built-in microphone, and there's a small button just above the touchpad. Pressing this button will mute or unmute the controller's microphone. You'll see an on-screen indicator when the microphone is muted, showing a microphone with a line through it.
Muting All Audio:
To mute all audio output from your PS5 using the controller:
Quick Menu Access:
Press the PS button to bring up the control center (Quick Menu).
Navigate to the Volume icon or directly to the Sound settings.
Volume Control:
Use the L1 or R1 buttons to move to the Sound settings section if not already there.
Use the left stick or directional buttons to adjust the volume to zero or mute it by selecting the mute icon if available directly from this menu.
Directly in Game or App:
Some games or applications have their own audio settings accessible via the Options button or through in-game menus where you can mute all audio or specific channels.
System Settings for Audio Output:
