Video Transcript:
The JBL Charge 4 is a durable, portable, and powerful speaker. The JBL Charge 4 features 20 hours of playback, a tough body, IPX7 waterproofing, and the ability to connect it to other JBL speakers. The Charge 4 also has Bluetooth 4.2, so you can connect other Bluetooth devices to it, such as an iPhone or Android smart device, to play sound from those devices through the more powerful JBL Charge 4 speaker. The process to pair your JBL Charge 4 speaker with a Bluetooth device only takes a few minutes.

Now let's walk through the steps to connect your JBL Charge 4 speaker with a Bluetooth device.

Step 1. Press the "Power" button along the top of your JBL Charge 4 Bluetooth speaker to turn the device on. When the speaker is turned on, the LED backlight under the Power button will be lit.

Step 2. Press the "Bluetooth" button along the top of the speaker next to the Power button. The Bluetooth button looks like three triangles clustered together. The backlight under the Bluetooth button will light up and start flashing, and a pinging sound will instantly come from the JBL Charge 4, indicating that the device is in discovery mode. The speaker will remain in discovery mode until you pair it with a Bluetooth device, it runs out of battery life, or you power it down.

Step 3. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the device you want to connect to the JBL Charge 4 speaker. Review the list of detected Bluetooth devices available for you to pair with. For example, on either an iPhone or Android device, you would navigate to "Settings" and then "Bluetooth" to display the Bluetooth screen, and then slide the toggle to the right of Bluetooth to the right side of the screen to ensure it is enabled.

Step 4. Your JBL Charge 4 Bluetooth speaker will appear in the list of available devices you can connect to. Tap "JBL Charge 4." After a few seconds, you'll see JBL Charge 4 in the list of devices you're connected to, and you'll see Connected on the right side of the screen. Additionally, your JBL Charge 4 will make a short, three-tone sound after a successful connection as a way to let you know it has successfully paired with a new device.
