Best Method: Placing the Remote in Bluetooth Pairing Mode
This method is universal for most TCL Android TV and Google TV remotes.
Prepare the TV. Ensure your TV is turned on and you are on the home screen.
Access the pairing screen. On your TV, navigate to Settings (the gear icon ⚙ ️ ), then go to Remotes & Accessories. Select Add Accessory. Your TV will now be in search mode for new Bluetooth devices.
Place the remote in pairing mode. On your TCL remote, simultaneously press and hold the HOME button and the OK button (the button in the center of the directional pad).
Wait for pairing. Hold the buttons for a few seconds. The LED light on the remote should begin to blink, indicating that it is in pairing mode.
