How to Play 2 Player Split Screen on Minecraft PS5 or PS4 (Easy Method)
To play 2-player split-screen in Minecraft on PS5 or PS4:
Connect two controllers to the console and ensure they are synced.
Launch Minecraft and sign in with the primary account.
Select Play Game, then choose Create New World or load an existing world.
In Multiplayer settings, ensure Multiplayer Game is On and Online Game is unchecked for local play.
Set the TV resolution to 720p or higher (Settings, System, Display; usually auto-set via HDMI).
Start the world, then turn on the second controller and press Options.
Sign in Player 2 with a PSN account or as a guest (guest accounts work for local play).
Press X on the second controller when prompted to join split-screen.
Notes:
Supports up to 4 players split-screen.
Use Game Mode on your TV to reduce input lag (Settings, Picture, Game Mode).
PS4 requires PlayStation Plus for online multiplayer, but not for local split-screen.
Vertical/horizontal split-screen can be toggled in Settings, User Interface.
Test in a new world to confirm setup. Share TV model or setup for optimization tips.
