How to Play Warzone 3 with Controller on PC - Connect Controller to PC
57In this video I’ll be showing you how to play Warzone 3 with controller on PC. The easiest and best way to play controller is to use a wired connection. By connecting your PlayStation or Xbox controller directly to your PC you ensure that you get the best performance while playing Warzone. Additionally, you also reduce the risk of your controller becoming disconnected due to low battery or due to Bluetooth connectivity issues.
If you want to play Warzone on PC with Xbox controller then using a wired connection may be required. Some of the older Xbox controllers don't have Bluetooth. This means it won't be able to connect to your PC using the Bluetooth option.
Alternatively, you can play Warzone 3 with a wireless controller on PC using Bluetooth. This requires your PC to have Bluetooth, and your controller to be Bluetooth compatible. You can connect your wireless controller to your PC through the Bluetooth and other devices settings. However, for your controller to appear in the Bluetooth device menu you will need to put it in pairing mode.
Warzone should allow you to play with controller by default. Alternatively, you can use the Steam controller support feature to allow you to use your controller. This will work even if you aren’t playing Warzone on Steam. To do this you will want to enable the controller support through Steam settings. This can be done either by enabling the switch, or by setting the option to “Enabled in Games w/o support”. You can also try the “Enabled” setting if your controller still won’t work in Warzone.
Regardless of if you want to play Warzone with a PS5 controller, PS4 controller or Xbox controller the process is virtually the same. Especially if you are playing with a wired connection.
Additionally, you will need to set your aiming input device in the Warzone settings. If this isn’t changed to controller then you won’t be able to play Warzone with controller. This setting prevents people from switching between mouse and keyboard, and controller during a game. Meaning that if you join a game while the input is set to mouse and keyboard then you will won’t be able to play with controller until after the game. This can either be you leaving, or playing the match out to the end.
